no time

Ok I have decided that I am a horrible blogger. I know everyone already knows this, but I am just awful. But I have decided that I have an excuse for my poor blogging behavior. I have figured out that I don't have access to a computer at work, so when I get home and get on the Internet, I have so much to look at and check that my blog gets put on the back burner. If I could look at everything while I was at work, I would have all of my home Internet time to blog. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it!

So onto wedding stuff. There has been so much going on I don't even know where to start. I had my bridal shower last weekend and it was amazing. Everything was so cute and fun! There are some pictures on Brandi's blog and you should check them out if you haven't already.

Currently I have been trying to get in touch with the church coordinator to get issues with the church worked out. I have called this lady like 10 times and I have yet to have any success. I found out that the church doesn't allow isle runners and I am not sure what else they do and do not allow, hence my efforts to reach the coordinator. I have decided that it is a pet peeve of mine when people don't return your calls. UGGG!!!!

On other news, Christopher and I have been looking into honeymoons and we have been finding out that you don't necessarily need a passport to go on a cruise. It said that if you leave and arrive back in the same US city that you do not need a passport. I tried calling Carnival and was unable to find out any more, but it is a possibility that might be going on a cruise! If anyone knows more about this topic I would love to hear about it.

There is so much more going on and so much left to do so wish us luck!

47 DAYS!!!

So we are 47 days away from the big day! There is still so much to do but I am getting really excited! We have been working on a lot of stuff but there is still so much to do. Christopher and I worked this weekend on the centerpieces. We got a lot of them done, but we still have about 20 to go. This week is going to be a pretty crazy week, I have a lot of things to do before I leave on Sunday for Cristi's wedding. I can't believe that she is getting married in less than 2 weeks. Time just flies by when weddings are coming up. Speaking of weddings, I have another bridesmaid that is getting married!!!!! I am so excited for her and I can't wait for my wedding to be over so I can start helping her plan hers. I am not going to give away too many details because I am not sure how public this knowledge is, it is not facebook official yet so I will leave more details for later!

I am taking my bridal pictures this week and I am super nervous. I still haven't decided on my hair or make-up. I have a couple of ideas but I just haven't found something that I just love. I also still have to get my nails done, pick up my dress, get some ribbon, buy an old pin, and so much. Wish me luck, I hope I look pretty!

I started to think about program ideas and I am thinking super simple, card stock with ribbon folded in half. I will put a picture on here whenever I complete one.

I am leaving this Sunday for another one of my bridesmaid weddings. I am so excited about just getting away and not worrying about work or wedding stuff..... or basically anything!

Well every one's invitations should be coming within the next couple of weeks. I can't wait for everyone to see them and RSVP!

Well that's all the news for today, hope everyone has a good week!

My apologies

I realize that I am a horrible blogger and for that I apologize! The wedding is approaching and there are still so many things to get done. I made a check list the other day and now I need to prioritize and get some important stuff taken care of. One of those things is Christopher's wedding ring. I still haven't gotten his ring and I need to get it, have it sized, and have it engraved. Speaking of jewelry, I have purchased my bridal jewelry and I love it. It should be coming in within the next couple of days.

I also bought my shoes. They were not quite what I had originally thought of, but they are going to be perfect. The guys are going to be dressed in brown and the girls in yellow and the shoes have both of these.

I am meeting with the dress lady that is altering my dress this Friday. I am SO excited! The last time we went the dress was completely different and it should be even more different this time. I cannot wait to get my dress finished and take my bridal pictures.

I am still working on invitations and lots more stuff. 67 days!

my life

So due to Robert's request I am finally going to update my blog. I have been up to my eyes in stress so I haven't had a whole lot of time to blog. But I am taking the time today to get back to my blag community and give yall some insight of what is going on in my life and with the wedding.

So most of you know that me and Christopher have been looking for a new house. We have decided that it is pointless to keep pouring money into a rent house. Well the house hunt is becoming another stress in my already stressful life. All of the houses that we actually like are way out of our price range. Finding a house that fits our price range and our qualifications is proving to be more challenging than I had imagined.

On the wedding front, I have completed many more projects. My sister and I finished all of the bridesmaid bouquets and we also finished all of the boutonnieres. The turned out so cute!!
Last weekend, my mom, Christopher's mom, my aunt Tammi, Kylie, Megan, Heather and I went over to my parent's house to work on my invitations. We got 100 of them almost fully completed and we finished cutting out the brown, yellow and vellum for all of the rest of them. They are just so freaking cute so I had to show you a finished one.
I realized I never showed yall a picture of the centerpieces we worked on several weeks ago. I didn't have a small votive like the ones we are using so I had to use this big candle that caused there to be some curving lines on the pictures. Those will be less visible with a more suitable candle. But I still wanted to give you the idea of what they will look like.

Busy Bee

I have been a very busy bee lately working on wedding stuff. Last Friday I went to a florist to talk about my bridal bouquet. It was less than impressive to say the least. Kylie, Megan and myself went to together and met with the owner of the shop. We sat at this table that was covered with crap. She didn't have anything to show me or talk to me about. She was awkward and unprepared. I am definitely not interested in doing business with her. So I am on the look out for another florist. Christopher told me that his parents met with some people who knew someone that was amazing so I guess we will go from there.

Christopher and I met with the baker at Market Street yesterday to talk about cakes. We tasted a couple of different cakes and they were delicious! Christopher's dad works with the baker and they are good friends. He was so nice and told us that because of the respect and friendship he has with Christopher's dad he is really going to do whatever he can for us at the best possible price. Now I just need to decide on what kind of cake I want and what I want it to look like. Christopher liked the cream cheese and butter cream frosting mix and so did I so I think that is what we are going to use for the frosting. We tried the white, chocolate, and Italian cake and they were all fantastic. I can't decide if I want different flavors for each tier or just one type through out. I thought the different layers would be neat but after discussing it with Christopher we though that people might come get 3 or 4 slices to try all of the different flavors and that would be a lot of cake. So I am no sure what we should do? Any suggestions?

So here are a few of cakes that I like that I have found online (keep in mind that the colors are not correct). What's your favorite?
